Skiz Fernando
Culinary assassin Skiz Fernando is a chef, cookbook author, and gastronaut. He published The New York Times notable cookbook, Rice & Curry: Sri Lankan Home Cooking (Hippocrene Books) in 2012, and also showed Anthony Bourdain around the island for the popular Travel Channel show No Reservations. Skiz currently teaches cooking classes in Baltimore and D.C. and throws supper clubs and pop-ups around the country showcasing the cuisine of his homeland.

Skiz Fernando takes a trip to a small village outside of the town of Chilaw where his Aunt's former cook, Leela, currently resides. You might remember this diminutive lady from an episode of No Resevations, where she cooked Anthony Bourdain;s favorite meal in Sri Lanka.
